Save the Sound - a program of CT Fund for the Environment - is initiating a new project to protect Long Island Sound watershed. We have coordinated beach cleanup events for years and are now expanding cleanup activities to rivers, streams and other inland shores.
We're looking to form partnerships with different groups that are also focusing on protecting wetlands, waterways and recreational/nature sites. Save the Sound can coordinate cleanup events in areas that could use some attention.
Does any one know of any lakes, streams etc. that need litter/debris cleaned up? Are you interested in working together to clean up some sites that need constant cleanup or perhaps sites that have been on your list to cleanup but haven't had the time to work on it?
Appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Sherill
